The well known FP7 'Future Networks Concertation Meeting' has a new 'look and feel' in Horizon 2020 and is being renamed 'Net-Tech Future Coordination Meeting'. These regular meetings will bring together EU research-funded projects in the area of communications networks to exchange the latest research findings and ideas for future activities.
The Net-Tech Future Coordination Meeting is based on plenary & working groups, which focus on:
- Future Internet (FI)
- Converged and Optical Networks (CaON)
- Radio Access and Spectrum (RAS), and
- The Internet of Things European Research Cluster (IERC).
The first Net-Tech Future Coordination Meeting in Horizon2020 was organised on 23 October 2014. Network techonologies and IoT projects met to share research results under the form of plenary and thematic cluster meetings. STRAUSS has participated in the Net-Tech Future Coordination Meeting held in Brussels on October 23 with the presentation "STRAUSS project: Inter-DC research between Europe and Japan" within the CAON thematic cluster meeting.
